Requirements: an mta and mailx. The first is provided by the surrogate in equivs, the second is bsd-mailx.

Notes:

• apticron requires a way to get mail off the server. On MXs, ?MTAs, ?homeservers this is provided. On others install nullmailer.
• dialog is just a requirement to run orphaner in the console
