FQDN — Fully Qualified Domain Name

In the Internets’ DNS each node resides inside a domain.

MagmaSofts’ DNS domain is magma-soft.at.

The host (node) with hostname emmy has the fully qualified domain name emmy.magma-soft.at.

The primary IP addresses of a node must reverse resolve to the fully qualified domain name.

The domain part of a nodes’ FQDN is the string after the first dot from the left. It gives the domain inside which resides the node.
